FAQ

When is the 2019 Pioneer Valley Women’s March?
Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 12-3 pm.

Where is the 2019 Pioneer Valley Women’s March?
The march will go from Sheldon Field to Northampton City Hall. Find specific details here.

What should I bring?
Wear comfortable shoes (the route is .9 mi) and dress in warm layers! Feel free to bring a sign, or just bring yourself!

What is the plan in case of snow/inclement weather?
Unless there is a serious snow emergency we will be continuing with the march, rally and activist fair as planned. If there is a snow emergency and we need to cancel any part of the day’s program, we will post a change of plans on the website and the Facebook event.

Is the Pioneer Valley Women’s March connected to the National Women’s March?
PVWM is a “sister march” of the national march, but it is completely lead and organized by local activists and volunteers.

Will there be designated restrooms?
Thanks to community donations, we now have a wheelchair accessible port-a-potty at Sheldon Field! If you are inclined to chip in toward funds for the restroom (and planning ahead for future marches) you can donate securely¬†here. There are public bathrooms at Thornes Marketplace open during Thornes’ regular business hours. If you avail yourself of a restroom at one of our wonderful local businesses, please be courteous and make a purchase!
