When is the 2019 Pioneer Valley Women’s March?
Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 12-3 pm.
Where is the 2019 Pioneer Valley Women’s March?
The march will go from Sheldon Field to Northampton City Hall. Find specific details here.
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable shoes (the route is .9 mi) and dress in warm layers! Feel free to bring a sign, or just bring yourself!
What is the plan in case of snow/inclement weather?
Unless there is a serious snow emergency we will be continuing with the march, rally and activist fair as planned. If there is a snow emergency and we need to cancel any part of the day’s program, we will post a change of plans on the website and the Facebook event.
Is the Pioneer Valley Women’s March connected to the National Women’s March?
PVWM is a “sister march” of the national march, but it is completely lead and organized by local activists and volunteers.
Will there be designated restrooms?
Thanks to community donations, we now have a wheelchair accessible port-a-potty at Sheldon Field! If you are inclined to chip in toward funds for the restroom (and planning ahead for future marches) you can donate securely here. There are public bathrooms at Thornes Marketplace open during Thornes’ regular business hours. If you avail yourself of a restroom at one of our wonderful local businesses, please be courteous and make a purchase!
