Mobilized by the Women’s March on Washington in 2017 and continued by local leadership, our goal is to unite women and allies of the Pioneer Valley across social, cultural, religious, political, and economic identities to demand justice and equality for all women and gender-oppressed people.
In 2017, 2018 and 2019 the Pioneer Valley Women’s March gathered in the city of Northampton. Starting with Springfield in 2020, we will be holding each future march in a different city or town in the Pioneer Valley.
Our scope includes fighting all systems of oppression which affect female-identifying and gender-oppressed people, including racism, homophobia, transphobia, income inequality, climate change denial, militarism, ableism, threats to reproductive freedom and more.
The Pioneer Valley Women’s March is organized and led entirely by local activists and volunteers. In addition to the Women’s March in January, we organize rallies, marches and other events throughout out the year.
